Terminator 2 - Judgement Day Movie Quotes (1991) |
|||
| Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor): 3 billion
human lives ended on August 29th, 1997. The survivors of the nuclear fire
called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare: the war
against the machines. The computer which controlled the machines, Skynet, sent
two Terminators back through time. Their mission: to destroy the leader of the
human resistance, John Connor, my son. The first Terminator was sent to strike
at me in the year 1984. It failed. The second was set to strike at John himself
when he was still a child. As before, the resistance was able to send a lone
warrior, a protector for John. It was just a question of which one of them
would reach him first. Edward Furlong (John Connor): No, no, no, no. You gotta listen to the way people talk. You don't say "affirmative," or some shit like that. You say "no problemo." And if someone comes on to you with an attitude you say "eat me." And if you want to shine them on it's "hasta la vista, baby." Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Hasta la vista, baby. Edward Furlong (John): Yeah! Or "later dickwad." And if someone gets upset you say, "chill out"! Or you can do combinations. Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Chill out, dickwad. Edward Furlong (John): Great! See, you're getting it! Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): No problemo. Edward Furlong (John): Is he dead? Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Terminated. Edward Furlong (John): You just can't go around killing people. Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Why? Edward Furlong (John): What do you mean why? 'Cause you can't. Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Why? Edward Furlong (John): Because you just can't, OK? Trust me on this. Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Come with me if you want to live! Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Stay here, I'll be back! Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator): Hasta la vista, baby!

To Have and Have Not Movie Quotes (1944) |

| Lauren Bacall (Slim/Marie Browning): Who was
the girl? Humphrey Bogart (Harry Morgan/Steve): What girl? Lauren Bacall Slim: The one who gave you such a high opinion of women. Lauren Bacall Slim: You know Steve, you're not so hard to figure. I know what you're going to say some of the time. Most of the time. The rest of the time ... the rest of the time you're just a stinker. Lauren Bacall Slim: (after kissing Steve) It's even better when you help. Lauren Bacall Slim: You don't have to act with me, Steve. You don't have to say anything and you don't have to do anything. Oh, maybe just whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and... blow.

To Kill a Mockingbird Movie Quotes (1962) |

| Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch): If you just
learn a single trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of
folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his
point of view...Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.
Phillip Alford (Jem Finch): Atticus says cheating a black man is ten times worse than cheating a white. Phillip Alford (Jem):There goes the meanest man that ever took a breath of life. John Megna (Dill Harris): Why is he the meanest man? Phillip Alford (Jem):Well, for one thing, he has a boy named Boo that he keeps chained to a bed in the house over yonder. Boo only comes out at night when you're asleep and it's pitch-dark. When you wake up at night, you can hear him. Once I heard him scratchin' on our screen door, but he was gone by the time Atticus got there. John Megna (Dill): I wonder what he does in there? I wonder what he looks like? Jem: Well, judgin' from his tracks, he's about six and a half feet tall. He eats raw squirrels and all the cats he can catch. There's a long, jagged scar that runs all the way across his face. His teeth are yella and rotten. His eyes are popped. And he drools most of the time. Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch): I remember when my daddy gave me that gun. He told me that I should never point it at anything in the house. And that he'd rather I'd shoot at tin cans in the backyard, but he said that sooner or later he supposed the temptation to go after birds would be too much, and that I could shoot all the blue jays I wanted, if I could hit 'em, but to remember it was a sin to kill a mockingbird. Well, I reckon because mockingbirds don't do anything but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat people's gardens, don't nest in the corncrib, they don't do one thing but just sing their hearts out for us. Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch): ...in an effort to get rid of her own guilt. Now I say guilt, gentlemen, because it was guilt that motivated her. She has committed no crime, she has merely broken a rigid and time-honored code of our society. A code so severe that whoever breaks it is hounded from our midst as unfit to live with. She must destroy the evidence of her offense. But what was the evidence of her offense? Tom Robinson - a human being. She must put Tom Robinson away from her. (He gestures, pushing away with his hands.) Tom Robinson was for her, a daily reminder of what she did. Now what did she do? She tempted a Negro. She was white, and she tempted a Negro. She did something that in our society is unspeakable. She kissed a black man. Not an old uncle, but a strong, young Negro man. No code mattered to her before she broke it, but it came crashing down on her afterwards.

Tootsie Movie Quotes (1982) |

| Dustin Hoffman (Michael Dorsey): Are you
saying that nobody in New York will work with me? Sydney Pollack (George Fields): No, no, that's too limited... nobody in Hollywood wants to work with you either. I can't even send you up for a commercial. You played a *tomato* for 30 seconds -- they went a half a day over schedule because you wouldn't sit down. Dustin Hoffman (Michael): Yes -- it wasn't logical. Sydney Pollack (George): YOU WERE A TOMATO! A tomato doesn't have logic! A tomato can't move! Dustin Hoffman (Michael): That's what I said! So if he can't move, how's he gonna sit down, George? I was a stand-up tomato: a juicy, sexy, beefsteak tomato! Nobody does vegetables like me! I did an evening of vegetables off-Broadway! I did the best tomato, the best cucumber... I did an endive salad that knocked the critics on their ass! Doris Belack (Rita): I'd like to make her look a little more attractive, how far can you pull back? Cameraman: How do you feel about Cleveland? Doris Belack (Rita): Knock it off! Dustin Hoffman (Michael): Look, you don't know me from Adam. But I was a better man with you as a woman than I ever was with a woman as a man. Know what I mean?
