Good News! I have received an apology from Richard H. Zaitlen, attorney for dick clark productions.
For those of you who may not have known, in February I received a cease and desist letter from an attorney representing dick clark productions. This prompted the changes to this section of the site that you now see.
At that time I posted his letter and my response to it. Similarly, I am posting his apology as well as my reaction and some information about Dick Clark.
I am going to leave all of this up for a month or so. There are literally hundreds of you who deserve to share in this moment, and I want you to be able to come and savor it!
Then I'm going to let bygones be bygones and restore the site to its original condition.
There is a lesson in all of this. Don't let anyone, no matter how many college degrees or how much money, intimidate you into abrogating your rights. For so long as you have your voice - you are never powerless.
